A close third stage could be the:

Forced to retire stage

You don't hear too many people inbetween these stages complaining of boredom. So it's hormones, fear of failure, and feeling no longer useful.

When a person is out of touch with himself and seeks for pleasure and constant stimulation elsewhere, he encounters boredome.

haha.. that's something i've always wondered as well.

i dont get the concept of, i loved him.. but then he got boring. or soemthing like that. for me, it just seems like something that can't happen. i see relationships as things that grow from friendship and not just a trial and error.. if this doesnt work then BAM its over, i didnt enjoy it, it was boring.

its wierd. meh.. i dunno.. =P
