It is a dangerous way to think.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

Dear 1-2,

Although I applaud you for wanting to deal with your weight issue, I think literally starving yourself for a month is not the healthy approach to your problem.

Your body requires nutrients in order to survive. Not all those nutrients in food is going to add to your weight problem, but WILL keep you alive!

After a week of food deprivation, ( if not sooner ) you are going to experience strong periods of nausea, weakness and you are going to be a very sick lady. After two weeks, your body is going to be deprived of nutrients to the extreme, and your immune system will also weaken. You can make yourself suceptable to bacteria, viruses, and infection. After three or 4 weeks, you will be in an extremely weakened state, and depending on your current physical conditioning, you could end up hospitalized. Believe it or not, this could also lead to your death from malnutrition. If you see people who are extremely malnourished, but still alive, well...you have to figure...they are getting some kind of food, just not enough of it. To not eat at all, is a quick ticket to the graveyard.

I think a medically managed diet program, exercise, dedication by you, you ought to be able to lost approximately 6-8 lbs per month. You must show some patience and dedication to bringing your weight down. You did not get this way overnight, and there are no overnight fixes.

Please, do the smart thing, and do the right thing. Lose your weight gradually, under the management of a doctor, and do it in a responsible, healthy manner.

Best wishes.

If you do not eat - That is taking in calories and fats - Your bodies metabolism will slow down. More or less meaning your body will start eating itself.
Not eating does not cause you to lose wieght.
That will get you sick - Your body will not get the protien, nutruients it needs.
You need to start regulating what you eat and how much - I have the same problem.
STOP drinking pre-packaged drinks - Take in plenty of water, excercise and eat what you want - Excercise is the key.
Eating is not the problem - Lack of movement and exercise is the problem - So do like I did. Get a bike and ride around eat heallthy foods - Hell eat some, I mean SOME foods you like but get the move on OK?

If you starve yourself your body will go into starvation mode and hold on to body fat as a way of "surviving" Just count your calories, keep a journal of what you eat, count drinks too. If your in the 200s you should probably eat around 1600 calories to start losing weight, then go down to around 1400 calories a day. You should try a website that helps you with personal goals its called Sparkpeople.com its just like weight watchers but free. It has everything weight watchers has. *Best answers are appreciated! Hope this helps. good luck.

You would lose a lot of weight but the moment you started eating again you'd eat like a maniac and gain it all back and then some. Also we need nutrients and calories for our brains to function so you would basically be a basket case without any energy.

I'm giving you this advice because I have been there. If you don't eat your body will shut down and go into reverse mode. You have to eat or you will not lose much weight because, you will confuse your body into thinking you are starving and it will try to hold off burning the fat. You need to eat low calorie, healthy foods and drink lots and lots of water. That will help you. If you eat LOW carb meals, that will help. You need some carbs for energy though.

You won't survive that long without food but for the fun of it, here are some numbers.

If you sleep through all 30 days, you will burn 77760 calories.
If you watch tv through all 30 days, you will burn 86400 calories.
If you spend all 30 days sitting in class, you will burn 155520 calories.

End Weight:
Sleep -> 178lb #You will weigh nothing in 9 months!
TV-> 175lb #You will weigh nothing in 8months&3 days!
CLass->150lb #You will weigh nothing in 4 months!

Nothing as in 0lbs!

Burn no more than 1000calorie daily or it can be very unhealthy!

starvation will kick in. or at the very least starvation mode will, which will slow your whole system down and your body is store all it's fat way for a rainy day.
anorexia is not the answer to weight loss. you will get better results by eating healthy (no processed foods - ie stick to veggies, fruits and lean meats and fish).

You would probably be not interested in the outcome because you would probably be dead by then.
Anyway, if you are really serious with your question go see a doctor and a dietitian.
Good luck!
