I would seek a doctor's advice, short of that though; try changing your diet. Obviously stop eating acid foods and try to boost things like vegetables and fruits and grains like rice and whole grains. Drink lots of liquid but not before you sit or lie down. Drink your liquid separate from your meals and drink while standing. Then stay standing for 30 minutes or so. Never leave an empty stomach empty. Nibble throughout the day but mostlyon high-fiber, low acid foods. (Cucumber good, cucumber with vinagrette, bad)

You may have Gastroesophogeal reflux disease, commonly called GERD. Try changing your diet to bland foods for a week or two, cut out spicy and greasy foods for awhile, drink more milk, stay away from acidic foods such as orange juice. Try sleeping on several pillows so your throat is not below the level of your diaphragm at night. If you are heavy, losing weight can make a huge difference. Try these things for a few weeks and it should clear up. Really increase your fluid intake and dont eat within an hour or two of going to bed.
hope that helps, good luck

If it is only acidity, take Avipattikar churna one spoon in plain water morning and evening on empty stomach. It is available in tablet form also. Take two tablets twice a day on empty stomach.
But I am worried about the weight loss. It is not a good sign. Better go to any MD-Physician for a complete check up. start drinking Noni herbal fruit juice twice a day right now.

You need to come off acidity foods, as they are creating this problem as well as digestive problems.
I have a list of the foods you should eat , if you are interested you may email me at ptlesther06@yahoo.ca and put "acidity" in the subject line, as I had the same situations and now do not have it.

The best way to raise your pH and become more alkaline is by using a product called Miracle2 Neutralizer. It has a pH of 8.5 and is very helpful in getting rid of acid reflux. Check it out at www.Miracle2Heals.org

It sounds like you have GERD. Don't eat within 4 hrs of going to bed. Avoid any food that gives you heartburn especially at dinner. Elevate the head of your bed. Also you need to see your doctor and get something for it. I take Protonix and it works but I still have to watch what I eat and when I eat it. Good Luck!
Liquid Gavison is also good to coat your stomach.
