he says i love you to me on the phone or msn but why not in person?...

It's true about being shy...but also...
Some people tend to use those words frivolously. No offense to you but it's just a heads up cuz it's true. How long have you been together? If his actions show he loves you then I think it could probably be true...but if his actions show otherwise....
Remember that love doesn't hurt : )

Some guys just can't say the 3 words out. I have no idea why is that so. Anyway, if his actions show that he loves you, treasure it. Action speaks louder than words.

over the phone means he does feel he's in love with you, but if he says it in person, then he will not know what to do next. let him go at his own pace, otherwise he might feel pressured and say things he doesn't mean. in the meantime - his saying it doesn't mean you NEED to respond if you don't want to, just go at your own pace too...

Some people do not take face to face confrontations well. Why not give him the benefit of doubt that without looking at you face to face is an easier outlet to say mushy things to you? :-)

just go up to him give him a hug and a kiss and say i love you. if he doesn't say i love you back ask why. you have a right to know!

he is shy,he dosnt knw how to say it in person or he feels intimidated by your behaviour towards him or others,you have to watch how you talk wen he is around.goodluck.
