Smoking... Mind over matter. You have to convince yourself that you don't need cigarettes anymore. You need to convince yourself that it's a terrible thing for your health (which it is). And, It'll make your breath a lot better if and when you quit smoking.

You need to dip seven times Naaman. You aren't quite clean yet. Don't return to the weak and beggarly elements of the world or you'll be entangled again in that yoke of bondage and seven times worse than the first state.
Sanctifying power takes desires and cravings away. Many people have sought God for a closer walk and became willing to give up their vices and God sent deliverance. They were no longer bound by them and suffered no side effects. The Bible says to put it away from you. If it is offending you, cut it off. Quit it. Leave it alone. Walk off. God will provide the grace but you must take the first step. Don't settle for a cheap grace. True grace accepts the full price for deliverance for sin.

you said you're a christian and you're already saved. you only have to think that as a christian, our BODY is now the temple of the Holy Spirit. and smoking is one of the things that ruin our body. be an example specially to those who are not yet christians. share to them what God has done to you. stop smoking and be a blessing.

Neither your claim of christianity nor your smoking does much to credit your intelligence. I will not try to cure your christianity, as the disorder is not contagious nor particularly harmful to anyone other than yourself. As for smoking, it is probably the most addictive thing one can do; you will not get rid of it until you decide that you are going to do so, NO MATTER WHAT. Ultimately, your brain is in charge, and your body will do whatever you tell it to do. My father was a smoker for decades. One day, my mother noticed that she had not seen him smoking recently, and inquired. "I've quit,", he said, and that was that.

The first step in repenting of something, is recognizing that you have a problem. And that's a good thing.
If smoking is a problem to you, and you think it is getting between you and your relationship with God, then you must ask yourself............"Am I going to allow anything in my life to be a wedge between me and my relationship with the Lord?" If the answer is "No", then you must make preparations to find a way to quit smoking and also, ask the Lord to :
1. Forgive you for allowing something to come between you and Him.
AND
2. Ask for His help in eliminating your habit which is causing you so much problems.
AND
3. Give thanks for Him helping you.
God bless!

Dear brother. Congratulations, you are saved. Now you have to realize one thing,
Holy spirit dwells in you, your body is the temple of God. Haven't you heard that God will distroy the ones who distroy his temple.
Smoking is a difficult addiction to escape from-for ordinary people. But if you ask jesus sincerely to help you, he will-no doubt-pull you out with his strong hands from that addiction.
It is not easy for you, but it is easy for him. Trust me, it works. How do I know that?
because, I am born again and I stopped smoking after 35 years of addiction. Good luck
