Not that I know of...

But I know that they can slightly dehydrate some people. I don't know WHY that is though.
That could affect your alertness in theory.
I find that when I wear them I seem to be hotter, like the heat is trapped. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Don't listen to the people talking crap about aluminium (especially Anthony) that is a total myth. A MAJOR cause? Are you frickin kidding me? It's not even thought to be a minor cause, there's not even enough evidence to establish a casual LINK.

There's an aluminum based chemical in anti-perspirant deodorants which is said to have many negative side-effects, and is thought to be one of the major causes of breast cancer.

To maybeifiactlikethat: I didn't say it wasn't a myth, and in no way was the information I provided intended to be taken as hard-fact. My words were carefully chosen so as to avoid being interpreted as fact. I was merely throwing my two-cents in based on something I had heard. If it's a myth, then thank you for clarifying. I'll look into it myself as well.

Yeah, it's a coincidence. Perhaps you did something else differently - that might have affected your running.
