Want to ensure good height for my son, given that protien is the building block for growth, is it safe to give my son whey protien together with his meals to ensure he gets enough protien for growth?

It should be fine. I can't think of any reason to not do it. But it really isn;t necesarry, a ten year old boy is probably eating so much food, he should be getting the proteing he needs. Also, I believe height is predetermined to a certain extent; your son is going to be around a certain height and no matter what you do you will not affect it by more than 1/2 an inch at most. Proteins and milk help with healthy bone growth, not making bones grow longer. Do you really think there was anything you could've done differently as a child to make you a taller adult?

defiantly don't give your son human growth hormone..Liver Problems??...wow. Unless there is some sort of children's version. .. be careful not to give him weird supplements to make him grow.. whenver you have to much of something it will have a negative effect somewhere else. In HGH's case, your liver. Whey protein is just like feeding your son fish. But without all the other vitamins and minerals.. ..Your son probably doesn't need to supplement protein because unless hes working out daily he doesn't need a ridiculous amount of protein. Your body can only digest about 50 grams per meal anyway, and at a 10 year old size of coarse a fraction of that. Just give him some chicken, steak, and fish. Make it lean though, not fried chicken of fatty steak. The best fish is supposedly salmon because of the omega 3 fatty acids

Just give him a couple eggs for breakfast and save the whey protein and your money for when he becomes a college athelete or weightlifter. If his body is working properly in absorbing protein, a couple eggs or any other complete protein like a peanut butter sandwich contains all he needs. If he is overloaded with protein, it will not help him grow taller but may help him gain weight and get protein in his urine because the human body does two things with unused protein, gets rid of it or turns it into fat. Stick to a regular diet and a Flintstone vitamin-- no special herbs, additives, or the latest wonder pill, because the people that sell these products see you as the perfect customer willing to buy anything to help your son grow. If he is overall healthy, just love him as a parent should, and accept him the way he is. He's not a freak for cripes sake.
