Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. -Matthew 24:35
It is a certainty that the earth and heaven will be destroyed and made again. Sorry to burst your bubble.

The Bible talks about a new heaven and a new earth in
Isaiah 65:17 and Revelations 21
I would say read Revelation 21 because it talks about heaven coming down and being on earth...in some fashion it might be figurative or something, I'm not totally sure what it means.
it's kind of hard to tell exactly what is being implied because it's a dream and a lot of it is in a figurative speech.

Isaiah 65:17

New Heavens and a New Earth
17 "Behold, I will create
new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered,
nor will they come to mind.

Revelations 21:1
1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

I've never read that heaven is on earth. I think I've been led to believe hell might be a state of existence on earth... perhaps from a passage. But whether or not the destruction of earth is figurative or literal I know that our way of living and thinking will defnitily be wiped out and replaced by the feelings of eternal love in heaven.

Where it is I am not concerned- I'm just trying to get there.

Thank you for aiding in my reading of this again. It is so beautiful. The passage is in the 21 chapter of Revelations. John says that he saw a new heaven and a new earth for the old earth had passed away and there was no more sea. There will be a cleansing of this planet. It will be made new again. That is what I believe.

Isaiah45:18 shows yes that the earth will never be destroyed and always inhabited, since God created it to be inhabited by humans, he did not create the earth simply for nothing! So God will not allow it to be destroyed! But heaven isn't on earth, Earth will become a Paradise.

I don't know what passages says so, but I think it means that judgement takes place on earth in our current life. If you're doing evil you will be punished, if you're doing good you will be rewarded.
