I love liver and onions, have since I was a kid.
I haven't eaten beef liver in years though, because it is a filter for the body and all sorts of yucky stuff gets trapped in it. I suppose I'd still eat organic liver, but I don't like to look at it when it's raw so mom would have to cook it like she did when we were kids...

I've never "knowingly" had "beef" liver as such - I've always had calves' liver - OR, due to a misunderstanding, did you mean beef, liver and onions, as in beef AND liver etc!
Either way, I love liver (if it's calves') with bacon as well as the onions - and don't forget some nice gravy made out of the fats and juices (with milk and flour to complete of course). Only about three million calories and God only knows what it does for your cholesterol level - but who cares!

yes i do like liver and onions.. I grew up on a farm and ate it when i was little and didnt even know what i was eating. I also love Rocky Mt. Oysters!! I like alot of weird food. I like hard salami sandwiches with grape jelly on it, peanut butter pickle sandwiches, egg noodles scrambled eggs and pork and beans on top.. I better stop now people will think i have no tongue..LOL

my mom used to make liver and onions...she would soak the liver in milk before cooking, i'm not sure why. it was not bad, esp. if it was liver and onions with bacon. my favorite odd/weird food? how about white rice with ragu sauce. try it, it's awesome!

I used to, but my cholesterol is very high and since organ meats contain very high levels of cholesterol, I don't anymore........I'm jealous.........enjoy!
