Love does not have to hurt but it often seems to.
Love is such a strong positive emotion that it is inevitable that there will be some pain associated with it at some time. This is Nature's law of opposites. For every force there is an equal and opposite force to hold it in balance. As much as our love would soar as a bird on the air, there is gravity to bring it back to earth…sometimes falling but usually gliding.

Its not love that causes the hurt, rather the loss of that love is what generates the pain. Love can be a double edged sword in that right sometimes, but what I found is it was always worth it when it is true.

There are three things very important in life which are hope, faith and love. Out of the three, love is the strongest and most important. It involves our emotions and love is discovering another human.The most wonderful of all things in life is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a growing depth, beauty and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is the most marvellous thing; it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of divine accident, and the most wonderful of all things in life. Love means to commit oneself without guarantee, to give oneself completely in the hope that our love will produce love in the loved person. Love is an act of faith, and whoever is of little faith is also of little love.
Think about it, there must be higher love, down in the heart or hidden in the stars above. Without it, life is a wasted time. Love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking together in the same direction.You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly. We don't love to be loved; we love to love freely, willingly, and without expectation.
Love grows by giving. The love we give away is the only love we keep. The only way to retain love is to give it away. Inside the heart of each and every one of us there is a longing to be understood by someone who really cares. When a person is understood, he or she can put up with almost anything in the world.True happiness and a fullness of joy can be found only in the tender and intimate relationship of the couple. However earnestly we may seek success and happiness outside the home through work, leisure activities, or large bank accounts, we will never be fully satisfied emotionally until we develop deep and loving relationships.
Love hurts because it involves our heart and emotions especially when someone you love or you have fallen in love with did not keep their promises, walk away from you without much reasons, doing things not to your liking which you never dream they will do, words they say which you never expect and like to hear and the lists goes on.
Love means to share , to care, to love, to be faithful, to feel, to face everything together in the same direction. Lack of any of these by any of the partner will hurt the other badly because when we are in love, we are supposed to give a portion of our heart and soul to the person we love and this person must treasure it and we trust them to be. It will hurt if it is not properly taken care of. Love can be kind, Love and be cruel, so we must manage it with care.
My friend, move on if you cannot bear the pain, heal yourself with God and love again. You will be a stronger person through this experience. God bless.

because you put your all into this one person and don't spend time doing things with friends. So when this person decide to dump you or cheat on you this is all you think about and this hurts.

cause u put yr all into a relationship and u expect more from that person and when something crazy or unexpected happen (cheating) its devastating.
