Fanaticism and faith are separate. Someone who is faithful believes and lives according to their faith. Someone who is fanatic has nothing outside their faith. Their faith is their entire existence. I make no judgement about which should be preferred but there it is.

The bible says if a man finds a treasure in a field he will sell all he has to buy that field.

It also says if we are lukewarm we will be spit out.

We are either for God or against him. Cold or hot. There is no in between.

We are to come out of this world and be separate. I would love to know your grandma.

I don't know your grandma.

But to answer your question, the fine line is sincerity.

Obviously she can talk the talk, but does she walk the walk?

How do you know that the two aren't just labels we apply to people we don't understand (and don't want to)?
