in my cats years i spent alot of time napping while in my dog years i was just kinda slobber-ey and retarded, so no, i dont think theyre the same.

There is no real such thing as "dog years" or "cat years"
How dogs and cats age is different to humans as are tigers or mice or elephants etc.
Cats age slower than dogs eg a cat that has been alive for 6 months is equivelent to a teenage human in development. A 12 year old cat is the equivilent to about a 70-85 year old person.
Small dogs age slower than large dogs. It all has to do with life span.

no, whereas dogs have a ratio of 7 dog years equivilant to 1 human year, cats have a ratio of 4 cat years to one human year- that is after the first year has passed for cats and dogs
