So your question is.......? If you don't understand the hypocrisy all you have to do is realize that abortion is a money-making industry. That's why it'll never go away. The way they justify the double murder thing is the court always assumes that the woman wanted to keep her baby. I've always wondered what would happen if a guy killed a pregnant woman while she was on the way to get an abortion. Would they still charge him with a double homicide? If wonder if some day they'll give women a grace period after the baby is born. A period of time that if they change their mind and decide to kill it, they can. Some women are freakin' cold-blooded killers. Man, it gives me the creeps just thinking about it.

In the Scot Peterson case...Lacy was no longer pregnant when her baby died. Some of the stuff that the public wasn't allowed to know was the fact that when lacy died the baby being "viable" was actually "expelled" from her body, he was actually alive for a few moments in the water and he drowned. THAT was the reason Peterson was convicted of the TWO murders. Because had the baby been rescued from the water that baby would have lived (being well past 24 weeks and viable). An abortion terminates a NON-VIABLE pregnancy. Not a born human. That is WHY abortions past the gestational period of 24 weeks are against the law here in the U.S. because at 24 weeks a pregnancy/fetus IS viable and CAN survive outside the womb...prior to that it has been determined that while there are VERY few exceptions a fetus is not considered viable. And a fetus is NOT a baby a baby is a BORN human...not a gestational human. And you can not murder what is nt BORN. Lacy Peterson's son was BORN, therefore he was murdered.
Also consider THIS scenario...a woman has diabetes and has been told by her doctors that if she get's pregnant she will not survive. She has three children at home and a husband who is a long haul trucker. She has done everything in her power to prevent pregnancy, her husband had a vasectomy but like a number of them it healed back and one of those little swimmers made it to "the great beyond". So she finds herself pregnant. What is she to do? Gestate to term and die giving birth leaving her husband a widower with three small children to raise, as well as a newborn with complications and him a long haul trucker? Or even worse both mother and baby die before the end of the gestational term? Wouldn't forcing that mother to gestate to term be murder as well? Afterall she was already told that if she got pregnant for a fourth time she would die...So you would committ muder on a wife and mother leaving her children at home wthout a mother in order to force her to gestate to term? Did I see someone mention hipocracy here?

No, you're not charged with two murders. Several states, such as Georgia and Illinois, have enacted feticide statutes, but in other states the governing common law rule is that assaulting a pregnant woman and thereby causing the death of a viable fetus gives rise to criminal liability.
Note the law includes the word "viable;" in other words, if the fetus could survive outside the womb, determined to be 24 weeks.

I donot believe in obortions, unless if the woman that is pregnant was raped!!! Then and only then I think she should have that right. Why bring a baby into this world if youre not wanting a rape baby. As if there aren't enough fatherless children in this world today. Otherwise I am against abortion.. Peace

You wouldn't be charged with two murders, as that would be inconsistent with the law. The child will have legal status once born. The End.

Abortion should not be an option if you have unwanted pregnancy. Give the baby away because someone will be able to love him/her much better than you do.
