If it is a puppy, under 6 months old, she should appear overweight. don't worry, and don't cut back on her food. She will need all of the baby fat for her health while growing.
If she is only extra round on her tummy, then she needs to be wormed.

The answer to this question is an easy one. First consult with your vet and see if the puppy is trealy overweight. Often puppies have a chubby appearance. Don't blow it off though. Allowing a puppy to remain overweight can lead to significant joint problems as the dog ages. Once you consulted your vet about whether or not the puppy is overweight, make use of your time with him/her and ask what the suggested servings should be.
Personally I feed my dogs twice a day. And the portions are probably small by some peoples standards. I also recommend that you look into the BARF diet. The bones and raw foods diet is the best suited to the dogs digestive system and closely memicks what he/she would eat in the wild.

Puppies are like young children, and they can get some baby fat.
See your vet and ask them what her recommendations for feeding your puppy are. Then stick to them. It is best to feed a dog the same brand of food. They can get upset stomachs if you change their diet too much. It is also best to feed them a combination of dry and wet food, and to use puppy food until your vets says the dog is old enough to switch to adult food. The more expensive food tends to have less filler in it so the dog will go to the bathroom less. You can give your dog her dog treats, but you should make a habit of when you give them to him, dogs like to be able to count on things.
NEVER, ever give your dog “people food.” Their digestion system isn’t built to handle it, in fact some of it can be harmful. You probably know that chocolate can kill a dog, so you know to avoid feeding him food from your table, not even table scraps. If you do you will end up with a beggar that hounds you whenever you get near the dinner table. Dog food is designed so that if you only gave that dog its food and water the dog would thrive; this is a requirement of the industry. The food in his dog food and his dog treats are designed to be exactly what he needs, and can fulfill all of his needs.
Even feeding your dog raw meat is unwise; the dog food is healthier and safer for her. Raw meat can carry parasites and it is rarely as fresh as a dog’s kill would be in the wild. People question that the hormones feed to our farm animals might cause damage to humans and have some research to back them up, but no one has even looked at what effect those hormones can have on dogs.
If you exercise your dog daily, more than a 4-minute potty break, then she will do well. Your dog needs exercise to stay healthy just like people do. A 20-40 minute walk on a leash should be good enough, and let the dog sniff the trees and mark where he has been this is how dogs interact with the canine community. Even it your dog never sees another dog; they can have social relations by doing this (of course be careful on letting her mark other people or other people’s property). If you do that and feed him what your vet says to feed him then your dog will be of a good weight, she will be able to maintain that weight and she will live a long happy life.

thats not enough info. puppies are chubby. their bellies stick out after they eat. Puppies need to have their shots and be vet checked. Let the vet advise you.
Puppies should eat PUPPY not dog food untill about a year of age.

Don't worry and just follow the directions for the dog food you use. Puppies generally don't need you to cut down on their food the way an older, less active dog might need that.

I would take her to the vet,and take a stool with you so they can check for worms. Just tell the vet the food your feeding her and ask your vet for advice. Puppies are usually fat and chubby in the belly just like a baby, but just to be safe you should consult your vet

First take her to Vet and discuss your observation. I think puppies are normally fat but you could also exercise her by taking her for a walk every morning or by doing a short run. That way she will eventually lose excess fat.

I agree with ammcoy-- your puppy may have worms. I would take her to a vet, especially if she looks chubby in the tummy only.

If this is truly the dog that you want, take her to a vet and get his or her advice. For all you know, she may be pregnant. If not, maybe the vet could put her on a special diet.
