My bedroom is concord grape purple and I love it! My husband and I like the darker side of things and this is just the prefect match for us. Not feminine, but not totally masculine either. Good luck

You could paint one wall black (or something similarly intense), and the other walls a more feminine shade. If you do that, pick a wall that would make a good accent wall, like the one with the window, or something else that would naturally draw people's attention.
Or you could paint all the walls in dark colors and then use glow-in-the dark paint to write or draw girly pictures or song lyrics. Or, forget the girl thing and just paint some skulls or whatever.
Paint the ceiling! You could do a light blue or purple and then sponge on some clouds to make a sky. Or for a nighttime sky, paint the ceiling dark, dip a brush in light paint and flick it on so it makes tiny splatters of stars. Make some bigger than others to create the illusion of depth.
If you feel artistic, why not do a mural? You wouldn't even have to think of it yourself--just find a picture that represents your feelings and then project it on the wall using an overhead and paint in the lines.
Or...clear everything out of your room, put something protective on the floor, and invite your friends over for a paint battle. (Actual painball guns would be extremely painful in close quarters, but water-balloons filled with paint would make excellent artwork.) Have everyone wear protective eyewear at least. Paint has pretty toxic chemicals in it.
You're young and you should experiment while you have the chance. But remember that you still have to live in your room. Blood splatters might impress your punk skater friends, but when you have to sleep next to it you might be less enthusiastic. Solid colors are fine; think about the mood you want to create. Certain colors are more peaceful, if you like to study in your room. Mid-tones are the most hip right now.
If it were me, I would do one wall in a muted forest green and the others in varying shades of beige. But it depends on your carpet and bedding, not to mention taste.

Brown is cooler than a lot of people think. There deep shades, almost purple or red. Highlight that with something like lime green. Look through skater magazines and see what colors appear in the ads or clothes or boards. Personally, I like dark colors. Very dramatic and moody.

attempt travelling the library or bookstores(my popular) to benefit the homestead adorning books and magazines to get ideals. Or attempt reading the biggest hues on your needed or latest furniture and adorning accents alongside with lamps, photos, vases, bookshelves, and mattress covers. optimistically you will detect a coloration which will bypass with all those products. If nonetheless caught, bypass to Sherwin Williams, homestead Depot or Lowes or any paint supplier that has an incredible style of paint pattern enjoying cards, and take each and every of the paint pattern enjoying cards that capture your fancy. Take turns taping them on your wall and notice the way you like those hues for the period of the day and evening. as quickly as you narrowed down the strategies, bypass lower back and notice in case you will get those pattern paints in the two or 3 oz..jars and paint a pattern board (white poster board or white cardboard container from food market) to establish a much better pattern that should assist you're making a very final decision. wish this helps....

Do one wall in orange and then the other walls(other 3 walls) in a lighter orange or yellow.Or do one wall silver and the rest of the walls red or magenta.
You gotta sleep in that room so all purple, red, magenta or all any bright color will drive you nuts.

Depends, if you're a student, you would want something light, like cream or beige colour. However, if you're working, any colour would do... I've always wanted a dark purple painted room... but i know part of me would feel too constraint, so I picked beige.

find an item that you absolutely love, like say a pillow, a shirt, a photo, a skate board. anything that gives you a feeling that you would want to walk into. Use that for inspiration. I have a friend that loved a shirt. every time she put it on, she felt happy. happy to her is thin, i know no reference to a room. but she painted her walls to match that shirt and that feeling.
