I'm talking about natural urges, not rational decisions.
If you are male, do you desire casual relationships with young, attractive women?
If you are female, do you look for "strength and security" (to quote a real female) and more of a long-term thing?
Do you know that this is explained by evolution?
Men make a small investment in children, so they can spread genes best by mating with fertile females as often as possible (quantity of mates).
Women make a huge investment in children, so they pass their genes best by selecting mates who will help with the burden (quality of mates).
Any thoughts? I think there's plenty of evidence for this (e.g. internet pornography).

1) Yes, this is evidence that supports the theory of evolution. It is one of many pieces of evidence. It IS a theory; it is the ONLY theory that explains these tendencies (and every other aspect of biology)
2) There is a lot of empirical evidence for what I'm saying. There is an entire field of "evolutionary psychology" that uses real experiments to test hypotheses generated by evolution. These studies support what I'm saying.
You're right, the similarities between animals (and all monophyletic groups) is unquestionably strong evidence for evolution.
3) Homosexuality could be explained within this model in a number of ways. Here's one:
Say there are several genes that are each beneficial for survival/reproduction of individuals, but in a certain combination lead to homosexuality. All of these genes would stay in the population because they help individuals, even though they occasionally combine to produce an evolutionary dead end (non-reproductive homosexuality).
