I decided to get to know this girl that always sits next to me in class (for about 4 weeks now), i decided to talk to her and get to know her better. At first she was playing with her hair when we started chatting. She greeted my conversation with a smile and seemed genuinely interested in the conversation. Then the professor started lecturing and she was fidgeting with her earrings, playing with her hair (grooming...?) and passively bitting her nails the entire time.

What do you guys/gal think? (That was yesterday)

UPDATE: Today we talked more freely and we had a pretty engaging conversation. She laughed at everything i said, funny or not.

She wasn't afraid to invade my personal space and look at my notes either.

It sounds to me like she is very interested. But there is a small chance she's not. Do you know for sure if shes available? Does she know YOUR available? If your answer are yes to these questions then she most likely feels the same way you do. If you don't know you should get to know it. Ask her straight up if she has a boyfriend and If she says no, then persue her, let her know your single too. Maybe ask her if she'd like to hang out outside of class (just say "would you like to hang out during break or after school?) School isnt a very good place to try and get to know someone better, you should take her out for coffee or lunch even. Just as friends at first, if everything goes well ask her on a date. The only way your going to know if she feels the same is to try and pursue her, and have her let you know that she's interested.

Well if she laughed at everything you said funny or not.. she was STONED man !!!! thats why the conversation was going so freely she was a high.

Second when you think everything is fine and she likes you.. it usually isn't and you'll have to take a step back and tell yourself it means nothing..( even if it means something to you ) it may not mean nothing to them. .. once they know you like them they have you hooked...and you become there *****. Take a step back and say to yourself if they don't like me for who I am then there is always someone else.

It looks as if you've described some of the characteristics of a girl being in love with/interested in you: laughing at things you say, smiling at you, engaging in a conversation. Go for it, be bold.

Go for it!!! In my opinion she likes you. Those are some of the things I used to do when I was interested in a guy. Like I said go for it, ask her out, or just spend a little more time with her. Maybe studying together or something. Good Luck!!!

The girl could just be acting cute and lively. Girls love being cute and well-liked. Or maybe she really is interested in you. Ask her if she wants to sit with you for lunch and see how she reacts.
