regardless of the cats breed - cats dont generally need a bath. They wash and groom themselfs. Giving them a bath washes away the natural oils in there skin and can cause them to have skin problems. In general cats dont need a bath

You shouldn't have to wash any cat unless he gets into something mucky. Our one year old Ragdoll is really a good cleaner!

Yes, it needs a bathe once a month. I have a ragdoll cat myself and I bathe him once a month. Usually his fur would look dirty & sticky, especially if you bring him out and he would start to scratch himself coz its itchy. So its more comfortable if you can bathe him.
