One thing i'd llike to say is this question isnt meant to be disrespectful by any means,im just trying to understand.
Yeah,an addition to my question is that some of you mentioned we are created out of sin, which i understand to be intercourse. If that is a sin then why did God create it to be the way humans reproduce?

1- It doesn't.
2- The resurrection was the point.
3- Only begotten son of God, not only son of God.

In a nut shell, people suffer from what philosophers call the 'existential dilemma,' or the fear of non-being. Heideger believed that the fear of nothingness was sufficient to provoke an existential crisis, while Sartre argued that the veil of nothingness separating self from object is enough to provoke the 'dread' or 'nausea' of non-being.

In Christianity, 'sin' is the inclination toward self-preservation at the expense of others, and is caused by the fear of death, or the existential dilemma. The problem is mortality, which resides in the physical body, and the fear of death, which resides in the mind. Jesus, as the third person of the Trinity, became a human being, died on the cross, and rose again on the third day. Through faith in immortality, the sacraments, and keeping the commandments (according to the spirit of the Law), human beings experience the energy of the resurrection, and along with it, the promise of eternal life. This stops us from sinning.

So, the death and resurrection of Christ was meant to stop people from sinning - not to remove the guilt of sins that we have already commited. Read Ezekiel Chapter 18 - God was always willing to forgive sin, and he was always willing to treat a repentent sinner as a righteous person. The problem is not the guilt of sin, but the inclination to sin, caused by the fear of death.

Jesus did not take our place on the cross, and he did not suffer the penalty for our sins. In Judaism, the law called for the death penalty for certain capital offenses. Once you die physically, your sins are already atoned for. Sacrifical atonement was not meant to grant you a happy afterlife - it was meant to protect you from the death penalty. But the law was only applied to those who accepted it through circumcision. No sin was ever imputed to the Gentiles.

There is a lot more to this, but I don't want to write a novel here. Read up on Greek Orthodox theology for more information. I know all of this sounds foreign to those who have only been exposed to American Protestantism. Get the four volumes of the Philokalia, a copy of Aristotle's Physics and Metaphysics, and Greek dictionary. Start with Maximos the Confessor, then move on to Gregory Palamas and Philp of Damascus.

Incidentally, "hell" is the presence of God, or the 'Uncreated Fire' - it is not a torture chamber for those who reject (or have never heard of) Jesus Christ. And there is only one God, regardless of what you call him or how you worship him.

He is the only begotten son of God. He was born of a virgin by the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit. In that way he was born without sin and he lived a sinless life. We were separated from God spiritually for eternity. Jesus paid the price for sin that separates us spiritually from God. Also there is temporal forgiveness but that's another question. He died and was resurrected to show that God's justice was satisfied. This could have all gone on without notice except that we are saved by faith and how can we believe unless a preacher be sent to us. His followers testified to the truth of what happened according to prophesies that were fulfilled by Jesus Christ.

1) Christ conquered death with his own death. No matter what they did to him, evil did not get its way. He came back full force, and transformed, giving us all hope for an afterlife, so that before our very eyes, he triumphed, and the enemies quaked in their boots. It was the cross, and it was the stone that was rolled away.

2) see 1)

3) "His only son" means the favored one. God has many sons, but for this one, he will forgive all others if he asks it of him.

Maybe I'm wrong, but Jesus is so willing to help us through life that he did amazing things to stick down through the centuries so that your ears could hear it, and your eyes could see it. If you cannot see it, persevere and ask the guidance of the HS. THAT person is most amazing, but you must be quiet and humble in order to become enlightened. Be patient. If patience is not enough, be stubborn.

Sometimes, you just have to take off the blindfold and pop out those earplugs. I'm sure you've heard it before, but you just did not understand what you were hearing. The many layers of truth surround the Truth, for the Truth is a mighty medicine, and cannot be taken all at once.

Peace.

God sent Jesus into the world to be the offering for sin that mankind fell into after the original sin that Adam and Eve caused in the garden thus removing the burden of sin from man and putting on Jesus.

The point was to fulfill the prophecy that God spoke of through the prophets.

Jesus was the only son of God, the writers of the bible refered to all of us as children of God because He also created all of us too

Jesus was the son of God. He was actually God made flesh, as the bible tells us in John 1. He was born of a virgin. He had no sin. In the Old Testament, the people had to make animal sacrifices...a blood sacrifice, over and over again, to atone for their sins. When Jesus went to the cross, a man without sin, He laid down His life for every person, He took our sins upon Himself. But only those who repent and believe are granted eternal life. This is the way that God has made for our salvation: the final, perfect "sacrifice", His son.

Yes, He rose again. He died a horrifying, painful death on the cross, taking the punishment for us. But as God raised Him from the dead, the bible tells us we are also promised that kind of resurrection. If we believe in Him.

No, we are not all sons and daughters of God. We are created by God. But we were not born of a virgin, and our parents are earthly parents. Although Jesus was born of a human mother, His Father was God. Those who are truly called God's children are those who love Him.

I really like and respect your questions. I am not a Bible scholar nor I am well educated in Biblical manner, but if you allow me to perhaps to share my thoughts regarding your questions in reflections in my life, maybe it may shed some light.

The Prophets of the Old Testament have been prophesying the son of God to come, and being the Hebrews under the rule Caesars. The son of God would come hard and heavy. With host of Angels and mighty swords and slay their enemies, set-up a new nation of peace. This is what they wanted. The Hebrews was force to mostly surrender their belief (truth) to the gentiles that worship many gods.

Christ took our sins by the tortures, beating and dying on the cross by saying "It is over!" Therefore, for now on when we sin, Christ will remove or forgive your sin. Now our sins are cleanse if it never had happen! and only Christ knows if you really repent for your faults, not a priest, not a rabbi, not Mary (the mother of Christ) but Jesus Christ himself. Think about it! Before He came, how was our sins forgiven?

He was attack because Christ (claim) preach that is the true son of God that the prophets have for told in the old Testament. This is not what the Hebrews had wanted. They wanted a God to do their will, to slay their enemies.

He proved to be the son God by fulfilling the prophecy. The true son of God will be crucify and on the third day He'll rise. Christ fulfill that He is the son of God by his resurrection. Did mohammad, pope, hare Krishna, buddha, nicodemus, joseph smith, brigham young, rasputin or anyone else ever known to rise from the grave?

Jesus Christ is a God! He is the son of Creator (God) He was born in Heaven first! God sent His only begotten son the pay for our sins. Christ being on earth taught us about God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

One person asked, "how do we pray to God in heaven?
Christ response "Our Father who art in Heaven....

We are the children of God, but we are not a God (although many on earth have title themselves to be) There's one more added to this glory and that is the Holy Spirit.

You were honest to post your concerning questions on yahoo, don't be afraid to ask the Holy Spirit to shed the good blinding light in your mind, so you can understand the truth. Purchase a Bible, read the New Testament first, but not revelations and then read the Old Testament and afterward Revelations, and then you'll learn why 9/11 occurred and what is bound to happen now.

I will add one important factor that many people who are even well educated in the Bible are making a terrible mistake now. Do not assume that the true ending is now here! We don't know when Revelation is going to take place, so many scholars now predicting the coming of the new world. It is not true, because we don't know when it going to happen!
God Bless

1- during the old testament times many different types of sacrifices and offerings were to be done in order for God to forgive someones sin and thats only if god accepted it it had to be perfect. Jesus dying/getting tortured/sacrificing himself was done so that he can be the last sacrifice to be done in order for God to forgive everyones sin. When Jesus crusifiction symbolically cleansed all of our sins because now we dont have to give any sacrifices to God or any burnt offerings to God because he did himself by dying on the cross.
2- The point of Jesus dieng on the cross and coming back to life was to show everyone that God is the only powerful and almighty God that can exist and that he can never die, he is the Alpha and the Omega, The beginning and the end. And he also had to fulfill the prophesy that he said himself that he was going to die and come back to life in 3 days, and also proved that God is not a liar what he says is going to happen is going to happen no matter what.
3- Yes we are all god childrens but God named Jesus his only son because in really Jesus was God himself who came to earth to save and bring hope to everyone on earth, remember that god seen how his people has become, how the devil can easily destroy them and make them ignorant and lose their spot in heaven, so he tried to save them by eliminating those who are of the devil (Noahs Ark everyone died except Noah and his family because they were right with god everyone else wasnt, Sodom and Gomorah, Homosexuality and all kinds of sinners were present in these towns so God destroyed everyone there). So God chose to stop killing his people and to come himself down to earth and become human like all of us and sacrifice himself so that everyone may have a chance of salvation. Also remember the Holy trinity The father, The son and The holy spirit before the new testament it was God, Jehova and the holy spirit and then God renamed himself Jesus the son. the holy trinity isnt three different Gods it is god himself in three different manifestations, for example it is like person with three different types of personalities.

It is good that you bring up this question because you need to know, if you dont the devil will try to get at you using these same questions and he will try to confuse you and make you not believe remember thats what the devils is a liar and a cheater he came to destroy everyone. God Bless thank you for asking this question I am sure there must be church where you can ask this question and they would be more than glad to help you out.

1. Without the shedding of Blood there is no remission of sins.
2. By death He has trampled on death.
3. He is never referred to as the Son of God.
He is the only begotten Son of God.
- According to the Bible we are God's creation. But after the fall,
Satan became our God.
It wasn't till Jesus redeemed us to God by His Blood that we
as Humans became His children again.

Read the Bible. It is very informative.

in case you do not have self assurance, this isn't that onerous. heavily, we Christians are regrettably brainwashed from the get flow. you're born, mothers and fathers take you to church, and before you may talk, walk, and understand you've heard one hundred sermons about God and Jesus. Take a step again and look into it from some different person's eyes. there is not any data of God, now and again the Bible tells thoughts that not in any respect occurred, many cases our fellow Christians are in hardship-free words Christians at the same time as they sense that is proper, and Christians have a foul rep with stuffing it down people's throats. you may not educate to those who there's a God and Jesus better than a guy from scripture. The scripture grow to be written via guy contained in the e book you ought to understand is extremely a stretch. Your faith keeps you believing and loving, regardless of the indisputable fact that the individuals you're concerning haven't any faith. and that i will't blame them. people will ask God to provide them the numbers to win the lottery. Why? Do you've a job? Did you flow to varsity? in spite of that is that you may not have adequate money why can not you have adequate money it? IS it because you made undesirable judgements in existence? per chance that is better in case you may not have adequate money it to educate others that the path you took grow to be not the right route. My own beliefs are that God does not intervene. I refuse to have self assurance he ought to enable conflict if he did. I can also not have self assurance he ought to enable 1 / 4 of one million people to be killed via a tsunami if he believed in preventing such issues. It couldnt' were all those people's time to flow. Heaven and Hell, i imagine people have the incorrect idea. How am i able to savour someone's corporation with out body? i will't hug them, can not see them, hear them, etc. So why do i decide on to flow to Heaven? i imagine that is a ideas set that you're in once you die. The delight of understanding that you lived a stunning good existence.

1-how does him dying/getting tortured/sacrificing himself/whatever... cleanse us(humans)of our sins??

God's most basic law states that death is the penalty for sin.
The "flip side" of that law states that no one may cause the death of one who has no sin (let alone Jesus, the only begotten son of God.)

2-What was the point of him dying if he was gonna resurrect??

Satan and the forces of evil had no right to kill the innocent Christ. They did it anyway, and Jesus permitted it, so they could be the cause of their own destruction, and come under God's judgment for violating God's most basic law (see above). Doing so, Satan lost everythingn he had earlier gained from Adam's fall.

3-Why is he referred to as the only son of God?

Jesus, in his immortal divinity ... not in his flesh ... is composed of the same eternal, uncreated essence as God the Father. This makes him unique, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Arent we all children of God(According to the bible)which would make us sons and daughters of God, therefore NOT making Jesus the ONLY son of God.....

We are God's CREATED natural human children, originally made from dirt.

We are not eternally begotten of the Father, and of the same godly "stuff" as the Father, as Jesus is. We are not immortal and all powerful as Jesus is. We are not totally free from sin, as Jesus is. We are not one of the three divine persons in the Holy Trinity, as Jesus is.

Big, big difference!
