The gods actually had very little to do with the flood itself. They became aware that the Polar ice cap was slipping precariously, and would soon slip completely into the sea, flooding most of the world, and especially the lower areas that were well-settled. So they all took off and used that as their excuse for "punishing" mankind. Nobody was supposed to know it was coming, but one of them cheated by talking about it to a screen wall, knowing full well that Noah was behind that screen. So technically, he didn't tell anybody. He told the wall! (I get a kick out of that one!) The other gods then decided to go ahead and let Noah and his brood give it another try, but a couple times after that they nearly did us in again -most notably when they set off nuclear explosions and then blamed "the wickedness of man" for it. That was a fight between the gods that got out of hand, and nothing to do with mankind. There's a couple ways to experience rapture, but none of them are fit to post here.

Good question. Because not all of them went to hell.

Consider that the children are automatically saved because they did not have a choice to make a conscientious decision, and God will not condemn people who never got a chance to follow him. So by killing everyone, including the children, in a way he commits a great act of mercy. Instead of letting those children grow up and become like their wicked parents, he takes them in the state of ignorance and they are able to go to heaven.

Why must we blame God for everything? Meteors happen. When a big one hits an ocean there can be enough rain generated for 40 days & nights.

He never seems to make a personal appearance that can convince people of his presence. It's always some natural phenomenon that we are expected to believe has some divine origin because someone said so.

Because sometimes you have to ask atheist question and atheist answers and then they have fallen to the ground but they get up again and sometimes it just happens that way and if you don't make fun of them and complain they won't get your order right.

It wouldn't be Biblical enough. Actually, He thought of that but Noah already had the ark built.
