Because we're grumpy, cantankerous old heathens. We've got something stuck in our craw. Grumble grumble and other such negativity.

dispassionate disagreemant or an enightened view that does not concur or factual documented authorities in quote do not actually satisfy the way you feel or your accusations of calling healthy viewpoints hateful or angry when this is a far from the truth as it could be . hope you come to your senses sometime for your own well being. I thought you religious people called satan the great accuser? what with the false accusations isn't that also bearing false witness too? what you actually evoke is dismay and sorrow.

It probably seems like hate, but it is actually a feeling more akin to silliness. Many of us who are not Christian and have read and studied the Bible (usually because we couldn't figure out why Christianity seemed so wrong to us) try to answer with neutrality and fact but if it isn't commonly accepted dogma and since it isn't written with love, it feels cold and many interpret that as hatred. I personally feel no hatred towards Jesus nor toward many of his followers but I am offended by Christians who haven't read the bible and who haven't studied their own history decide to spout off about how I'm uneducated or misled. I made my choice based on what the Bible said, what Christianity preached and how it is practiced. I exercised my "God-given" free will in accordance with what the Christian God wanted, followers that chose him and were not just blindly led into it.

Well it is supposed to be the religion and spirituality part, however it seems more like the "lets crush the God believers" section. I am sure most do it just because they can..the best way to fix them is to vote with the thumbs down.....

Perhaps because some people never got over the fact that in ancient middle eastern tales and legends Jesus was promoting slavery and violence.

When a god-believer remarks on an open forum about their god-belief, I think atheist can comment on it.

After all, when an atheist remarks on an open forum about their non-belief in gods, I know certain christians comment on it ...to the tune of ...you're lost, you're going to hell, etc.

You may claim that that sort of stuff is not hate, or anger, and that it is just your god's words, and therefore your "truth." But if you can objectively see it from a non-believer's perspective, it is objectively hate and condescension.

Have you read some of the non-believers remarks or posts that make believing sound like it's such a stupid thing to do? You can actually feel their minds closing everyone and everything out......it's soo negative.

Maybe its just you projecting yourself on to the writer
I am atheist but I still know alot about Christianity, so will answer. Maybe every word I am saying right now sounds very ANGRY, but I can assure you I am not angry. Maybe you are just interpreting anything you dont like to hear as anger filled venom

Dont forget I said 'MAYBE'

Hey don't let it bother you...those who do that just reveal their own insecurities. To lash out, is a human malfunction. Stay cool headed and rational.

Lol its not because the bible states you will be hated, outside biblical reference, its because there are radical christians pushing for a theocracy, and it bothers a lot of people that believe in pluralism.
