I read that too. i also read that Pat Robertson recently admitted that global warming is real, but I think he hedged on whether is was caused by man...I think Robertson is a part of this, he's rich and wants to convince the poor and middle classes that those "crazies want to protect the environment"...it's amazing that people will accept a preacher saying that we should not be so protective of God's world. As far as Bush, yes they are big oil people...GW owned 3 oil companies, the Saudi royal family are close friends and business associates (GW actually was helped with investments from the royal family of Bahrain). bush has been lying about it for 6 years...underplaying it, ignoring 99% of all scientists...I have heard of a couple scientists coming out and saying they had been pressured and it is a fact that the Administration has been doctoring the evidence it submits to Congress for years (the scientists who rote the statements pointed to the actual word changed by the Admin to make it look ambiguous)....No, no surprise, these guys don't care what sort of environment we live in, because they make billions on the destruction.
