yes golden retrievers are good apartment dogs. as long has you let them out when you get home ad nbefore you leave. you train them right and they will lay down and chill out while your gone. sometimes if you play some calming music while your gone it helps them relax.

It relies upon. I even have owned great breeds in small homes and residences however the canines had plenty to do and had accepted play time exterior. This coated, walks, dogs park, traveling pals with fenced in yards, etc. in addition they desire a great number of psychological stimulation interior the abode. Toys, taking part in tug, etc. And obedience training is a might desire to. in case you won't be able to dedicate MANY hours each and every day to the dogs, i does no longer get a Golden. i assume you're nonetheless at school? Are you going to have time to do all this, groom the dogs and your schoolwork? If no longer are your mom and dad going to help? Goldens are great, intense potential, smart animals that desire a great number of workout and get bored very rapidly. while that occurs they might nicely be damaging which ability the dogs might come to a determination to bite the flooring, doorways, base board, chair railing, partitions or dig on the partitions, doorways, etc. And that is something your mom and dad might might desire to pay for. The dogs may additionally do the comparable to fixtures, clothing or different possessions. that is advisable to envision with the condominium besides. Many places have weight limits on canines.

There's some bad advice here. A long walk to a retriever is about 20 miles at a trot. Puppies need not so much mileage but constant exercise and attention. I had a puppy loose out here in the woods. She was so active that the only pictures I could take of her were all blurry. She was NEVER still. My neighbor had her sister and took her for what they thought were long walks. She ate their couch.
Also, the worst thing you can do to any dog is to leave them alone. They are pack animals and need company, all the time.

I personally would not have a GR in an apartment. They really like to be on the go ALOT and since you cant just open the door to let them run in the yard if you live in an apartment, you may find that being as active as they are might not suit you.

No. Goldren Retrievers require a lot of excersize and plenty of room to run around. If you are going to have one living in an apartment then you definately need to be prepared to take them for long walks atleast once a day and even take them to a park to run around. I would definately say stick to smaller toy dogs or lap dogs for an apartment

goodness no. Golden Retrievers would be very sad in an apartment. They need room to run. unless u walked it everyday, then it might be ok. They are quite big and can shed a lot.

Nope Retrievers are not good apartment dogs. They need lots of room to run and play and do better in houses with land.

No they are too big and have too much energy to be cooped up. Get a smaller dog that doesnt need as big of a yard.
