It doesn't keep you from getting new pimples, but it dries out the ones you already have.

I don't know specifically about pimples but Zinc is an mineral required for skin health and thus is important with skin being our largest organ.

I use zinc/castor oil cream for my bites and skin eruptions and take a zinc powder (mix with water) each day ... both hubby and I have skin that is reacts badly to bites, scratches etc.

it isn't that naturally available in our foods but soy products are a good source. all natural remedies will take time to work but are so much gentler to the body ... you just need to dry out the spot where the pimple is starting ... i use things like tea tree oil, vinegar, and such .. I think there are plenty of things you can do without spending on expensive products.

keep your hands off your face and keep them clean :D ... get a green cover-up .. it takes all the red out but is only a cover-up if you are self conscious of red spots showing.

I don't know if Zinc does....

but you could avoid getting pimples by not sleeping for at least two hours after you eat... at night of course.

so try not to eat for two hours after eating dinner or something
