It will vary a little depending on how you do in school and what field you study. The top of the line is typically engineering managers who can earn about 120k --after years and years of work.

If you really want to make money consider going to law school with an engineering degree and going into patent law. Over 100k starting in many cases.

Engineering isnt just about the money, its about the passion one gets in problem solving and analytical thinking.

Money varies widely in different countries. If you are somewhere where construction is always going on as in Dubai then civil engineers are in great demand. If you are somewhere where telecommunication is being improved, then telecom and electrical engineers are preferred.
