Porcelain veneers will close the gap. Ask your dentist about it.

Getting little gaps between your teeth is a sign of gum disease which is serious if left untreated.

Make an appointment with a dentist and get a full cleaning and exam with x-rays. Ask specifically about the gaps and gum disease.

There are a few causes for gum disease such as hereditary genetics or poor oral hygiene. Brush and floss at least twice a day and don't just brush your teeth. Brush gently along your gumline at an angle in small circular motions.

Without good dental care and proper brushing and flossing, gums receed causing small gaps.

Make an appointment with your dentist. There are so many options now for cosmetic dentistry, such as bonding, veneers and braces. If your dentist recommends braces, there are a variety of types, including a really neat system called Invisalign, in which thin, clear, plastic aligners made from a mold of your teeth are placed over your teeth (one piece for the top and one for the lower) that are barely even noticable. No more metal mouth!

If your teeth are already straight but has gaps in them, then no you dont need braces. My mother teeth were fine except she had a gap right in the front and it bothered her. Go to your dentist and ask them to fill it in. It shouldnt be to expensive either. I had braces for 2 years and it was a pain in the ***, but it was worth it.

You should see an orthodontist. They will tell you if you need braces and if you have any other options.
