lol For the person who said dont let your kid watch tv..you obviously dont have children.. . My son and I read together, we go to the library every week for story time, we sing together, I teach his Sunday School, we go to the park once a week, we build with blocks, we practice numbers and colors, his dad and he play basketball and baseball together, and he plays weeball during the summer, I didnt ask what I could turn on all day and let him stay in front of it. I do have twin 3 mth old girls and for one hour a day we watch tv while he helps me feed them. Which gets him involved with his sisters and helps him to not feel jealous. So definitely no chance of my active sweetie turning into a zombie.

My son started watching more TV after I had another child. I'm very careful about the amt of time though.

I second Go Diego Go and Dora. Also, Little Einsteins is REALLY cute. Nice music, shows a lot of art work etc. Also, if you are looking for things to keep him occupied on his own, try a computer game. My son loves the Pooh preschool one. It really helped with letters and numbers. Also, the sesame street website has some games he likes to play.

Good luck! Your kids look so cute.

Personally, some of the most irritating shows are Barney, the Wiggles, The Doodlebops, Dora the Explorer, and Go Diego Go. Those shows are not allowed on my TV, although they are relatively harmless and lots of kids enjoy them. Honestly, they just REALLY annoy me. My daughter (2 1/2) loves Mickey Mouse clubhouse, The Backyardigans, Teletubbies (still!), and Peep (this one is even a little entertaining for adults but completely safe). If you are looking for DVDs, the Baby Einstein DVDs are fantastic, and our local library carries lots of them (so you might want to check your library). However, I have some friends who swear their kids are bored to death by Baby Einsteins. My kids LOVE them! Good luck with all those kids, you got your hands full!! :D

My spouse and that i've got a 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous boy. He did not decide to start potty education actual the two. What we did substitute into each in some situations convey him exterior and tell him to "Pee on Mama's plant life!" so he concept that substitute into humorous and he'd do it. we live out in a rural section so as that wasn't a controversy. despite if it does take time and he will do it while he's waiting. different than that it incredibly is form of a dropping conflict. you are able to attempt all u desire yet till they're waiting it incredibly is merely not likely to ensue. I hate seeing a diaper on a toddler which could be sufficiently previous to be potty knowledgeable, so it does take some pushing. yet do not push so not undemanding which you get disillusioned through fact it incredibly is not going on as rapid as you think of it could. shop assisting him, and merely supply him a dash time. while he's waiting you would be conscious of.

Sesame Street on KCET it probably the very best show and most educational out of all the shows. It teachs #'s, colors and spanish. It also teaches kids about different cultures. And is very entertaining. Thats why it has been around since I was a kid.

So good to read that you & hubby spend so much quality time with your son w/ sports and learning activities. I hand it to you being you have twins. My favorites are the good ole classic shows, Sesame street, Barney and I like Lassie very much. I think a 3 yr old would like Lassie.

My suggestion, although you automatically assume I've never had children, is NEVER allow toddlers to watch TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never allowed my children to watch TV until they turned 6 and then it was only after they had their homework done. My son, who has 3 daughters, does not allow them to watch TV (the twins will be 10 in March and the youngest is 8). They are, however, allowed to watch DVDs but only those approved by their parents and only 1 a day on the weekends. When they spend time with me I have tons of activities for them - so they do NOT watch TV here either.
In good weather they spend all of their time (while with me) outside.
So please continue doing activities with them and leave the 'boob tube' off!
