some people feel uneasy in social situations or even in a night club. Having a few drinks loosen many people up so they can feel uninhibited and relaxed, therefore having more fun and going out on the dance floor. I use to have to have a couple drinks when I was younger, just to go dance. As I became more mature, I was comfortable in myself and didn't need a drink to relax and have fun.

Drinking in moderation may be fun if it helps loosen you up i a social situation. As far as getting drunk, it can be harmful and loosen you up so much that you do things you normally wouldn't. If you are doing things that are not the norm for you when you drink, then you may be drinking to much. There is a very fine line between drinking socially and having fun and getting drunk and not being yourself.

I'm not going to shine you on & tell you drinking is great. It's all fun and games until somebody gets a DUI or killed in an accident. They don't have much of a life if they have to get drunk to have fun. As I see it their aren't any pro's to drinking. The down's are huge. DUI, time in jail or worse prison, divorce, loss of life including your own, loss of financial security & loss of self respect. The list goes on. I rate hangovers at the top of my list of what not to do. This is not fun.

I think getting a buzz is fun but not getting drunk to where your throwing up everywhere. You tend to be more open to other people when you drink a beer. It's only fun if you don't have to drive. But kids these days over do it, kids are always asking me to buy beer for them beer in front of a liquor, I tell them no all the time.

I just wanted to see if this type of insight could help others who are suffering?
As my feet slap down against the cold wet pavement, and my face drips rain from the storm, an unrelenting need to drink pushes me further. Exact final destination appears unknown , but it's inevitable that the evil inside will again return me to the source of my nightmare. No control, no will of my own, no power had I found that might evict this hell that had infected my body and mind. Self-identity, and all that was once me, had been buried under countless layers of drunkenness, so deep, that any calls for help were merely an echo inside my head.
This living liquid curse, cunning and without conscience, had been absorbed into a body which at one time eagerly welcomed it's unyielding influence. But now, as the onslaught of alcohol turned viciously against the world around me, it was only I being held responsible for it's drunken destruction carried out during my imprisonment.
Those intense fear ridden mornings, when I awoke to find yet another nightmare of alcohol's creation, devilishly constructed from it's own personality the night before. Whether it was the sight of dried blood crusted over both hands, or the unfamiliar surroundings of a place where I shouldn't have been, alcohol knew how to render me frozen with crippling insecurity. Too frightened to reason out a healthy answer as to what was happening to me, a deliberate terror of conscience always reached out and tightly gripped my soul. This devil, disguised and hidden behind my own recently drunken face, knew exactly where I'd run to for help. This was much more then an accident through drink. Alcohol's intent was to survive at all costs, to live and breath it's own existence using me as it's host of choice.
But, now, unaware of this developing transformation, all I wanted to do was calm the terror inside my head. There would be only one place, one exit, one chance to escape into a feeling of normality. Alcohol left nothing to chance, and as it waited patiently for me to return a bottle to my lips, I could almost hear a deep sullen laughter quicken my mobility. I desperately needed to lock myself away into the only security I knew, and to experience that precious freedom, I once again had to ingest my enslaver.

I know the people who like to go out friday nights and drink are mostly younger, and these kids drink to get drunk. Kids in highschool want to get smashed because they think it will be more fun because it allows you to do whatever you want and have a "mask" on. so if someone is more outgoing she may tell a boy she likes him, or make out with someone.. and if she/he is rejected.. they can use the drunk "mask" and say oh sorry i was drunk.
mostly people are drinking because everyone else is, and individuality is just out of the question :) . kidding. but yes.. peer pressure.

Your cousin in the different room throwing up. in case you think of it incredibly is cool then i might advise ingesting some uncooked rooster or undesirable seafood through fact final I checked you are able to not get in difficulty for that... Getting arrested for decrease than age ingesting isn't relaxing and actually not something incredibly worth bragging approximately. neither is taken under consideration one of the different factors yet another individual published and that's young human beings ingesting and employing. in case you don't get something OUT OF ASKING this question, PLEASE GET THIS. don't get in the motor vehicle WITH somebody who's below the impact of alcohol, incredibly in the event that they're UNDERAGE. they're greater advantageous than probable showing off and picture they're invincible. i've got lost TOO MANY acquaintances and kin. to not be your mom yet you sound such as you have a sturdy head on your shoulders so i think of you would be ok, merely help instruction manual your persons.

I would say that is for the 19-25 age group. Its all about who can get the most fuc@ked up and do stupid things.
For us older 25+ crowd , its more about end of the work week release. I am not a weekend drinker, but I do enjoy having a few now and then.

I personally like to drink, not necessarily get drunk. For me it relieves stress and I don't have to think about problems. I don't live for it though.
Some younger people think that it is just cool, like smoking cigarettes. Some people really can't come out of their shell unless they let down their guard and get drunk too.
