Like the 1st person said not over 5 years old and no more than 2 litters per female and don't breed to early either. Do lots of research on breeding Yorkies first if you feel you must breed them and make sure that the male and female are both healthy and free of genetic disorders that could pass down the line. And I hope they are registered and of show quality not just cute so you want to breed them.

They should be over 2 and not be over 5, and the females should not have more than one litter per year (they should have a heat in between breedings).

An responsible breeder does not ask breeding questions to a bunch of strangers on the Internet.
A responsible breeder KNOWS the answers to questions like this because they are working with other breeders who have taught them.
A responsible breeder is a member of the national breed club (YTCA in this case) and can bounce questions off them rather than ignoramouses on the Internet.

You my dear, are not a responsible breeder, an ethical breeder, a moral breeder, or a good breeder.

Any age is too old for *you* to be breeding them. The ONLY reason to breed is to improve the breed - and it is only done by people with experience in the breed.

You appear to have NO experience with the breed, other than owning a few of them.

But, then again, what do I, the AKC, all responsible breeders, all rescue clubs, and the YTCA know?

No older than 5yrs and no more litters than 2 per female, their little boodies cannot take it. It really effects there physical and mental state.

You shouldn't be breeding any dogs. Especially if you don't know the answer to this question. Why do people have to breed everything they see? My gosh.
