Any amount of any "human" medicine can be extremly harmful to animals. Get him to the vet ASAP! It may not show immediatley, but they can go into Kidney failure. It is said that even a normal human dose of an OTC medicine can kill a small dog, so I would be extremly worried. Please let me know how it goes.

You need to get her to an ER vet asap so they can make him throw up and put him on some medications. Low doses of advil can cause severe vomiting and stomach ulcers with in 1-4 hours, higher does will cause kidney failure within 5 days, and if not treated death. It all depends on how much your cat weighs and how many milligrams the advil was. I would play it safe and get to a doctor.

Kittens' weight corresponds greater or less pounds to months, ex. 6 mo.=6 pounds. yet that varies, and all animals are diverse. The male might have been the runt of the clutter and desires a while to capture up. the female might tend in the direction of fatness, so her weight loss plan must be monitored. additionally, take them to the vet for a checkup, only in case. Parasites impact weight. stable success.

Advil is 200 mg of ibuprofen, half a pill is half that dosage. Your cat might be about three to four pounds. Very likely this might just make your kitty's stomach upset at most, but there is no real danger as far as I know. (I've worked in vet hospitals). If you see that your cat has the runs try canned food that has rice. Your cat might also vomit, if vomiting and or diarrhea persist fo more than 18 hrs go to the vet. If there is excessive blood (two fluid oz) in the feces, or vomited you must take your cat to the doctor. This means that there is a severe reaction.

that would depend on how strong the pill was as to whether it was enough to poison your kitten. watch for seizure, sudden vomiting or diarrhea, staggering or seeming unbalanced, or any loss of consciousness. if you notice any of these you should get to a vet immediately

Okay guys, take a chill pill:) 1/2 of an advil will not hurt the kitten , if you are worried dont panic, just call a Vet and explain this to them, they can tell you how serious if at all it may be. But seriously, advil isnt strong, and some vets will even tell you to use asperin sometimes to help with arthritis and other simple ailments. Asperin can be just as strong as Advil given the mg's. So advil , let alone 1/2 of one, cant be strong enough to do any damage to him/her. Dont worry :)

everyone chill out 1/2 an advil will not harm the cat not even in the long run. now if the cat keeps taking it then yeah it can hurt them. but the cat will be fine.
