I would have to assume a LONG hair dog? But eating GLOBS of hair, not so good as the others just said, 'hair balls', and no good for the tum tum just like cats, and dogs don't cough em up, they CAN pass, but if like Siberians hair UMMMM ya might check with vet because they get that disease "dat'salottahair". And as most of the others have said, more fiber more fiber, he knows he's stuffed up and needs help, and with no grass, go for the next best thing!! Unless you're gonna help? Get Beneful, it will help!!

My dog eats her hair and the hair of my other two dogs. She's fine but her dogpiles look a small rodent! It does clog her up sometimes too, I wouldn't worry too much--dogs, like small children, eat a LOT of things.

It won't hurt him, you might want to give him that hair ball stuff for cats to help him digest it.

no, of course not. if it eats too much, it can die. you should go to a specailist and have his tomic pumped. then go to a trainer. you need to brake his habit.

I can't see how it's bad, however, perhaps he needs more fiber in his diet.

no, what happens is when they clean themselves sometimes, they swallow some of it, and that's when you see it when they have a bowel movement.
