Why is it women go for the 'a**h**e' type of guys......?

I always wondered why is it women go for the 'a**h**e' type of guys???

They chase after them and in the end they get hurt and they cry and then when the good guy comes along he gets treated like he's the a**h**e.......

I'm not trying to be insensitive to women...

A very good question you pose today! I fell in this ugly cycle myself ..I have historically always gone for the "bad boy types". Out of marriage number 2 now with number 2 being THE all time worst possible! And here I am an intelligent, not so bad -looking woman of 47 already going on 27. aaahhhh..yes well there is no easy answer to this question.It started with liking the class clowns and went from there with me.they made me laugh, they were not boring, the had pizzazz of a sort.till they got to be older and still as stupid as ever then just plain nasty to well, abusive.I had to break the cycle with a course called choices and changes. It is offered at most community centers and it should actually be taught in the high school level grades . It makes you think , it sets your sights, you change your ways .It became a bad habit that i had to see and make changes. I am single now and working on divorce number 2.It sometimes takes awhile for females to SEE the LIGHT. Don't give up hope if you are attracted to a certain someone and she does not have THAT certain thing for you YET. She needs to open her eyes too.there are nice guys out there and they deserve to be treated as such. I thank you for posting this . perhaps you and I both can help some women out there that are in need of such a habit -breaking course such as this. good luck and love in your future.katie

Here's my attempt to explain the crazy logic:

A jerk shuts himself off from people. He, at least, acts like he has a strong personality & is very confident. Those two things are what attracts women. Also the thought that they could be special to him, that they could maybe be the first woman he's opened up to, attracts them. This is very ambitious & unlikely since he'll most likely seek out a woman he knows is right for him instead of a woman finding him. Also, it's the idea that everyone will wonder, 'wow, what a strong personality that girl must have to attract him & keep him interested. they must have a deep connection'. Which of course isn't necessarily true with every relationship. It's all an illusion.

Confidence & a strong personality is what attracts women, whether or not it's real. They get into a relationship with the guy to figure that out.

The so called good, nice guys are the same. I tried it before and even the nice guy treated me like a jerk in the end. I figured why not keep going with the jerks. They're all the same to me.

sometimes women don't realize that they are assholes. The attention that they get sometimes blinds them to see what some guys are capable of. Also I hate to admit but when it comes to relationships they are more emotional and less logical than guys. The emotional side gets the best of them. Then again some just like the badguy image.

no offence taken, but not all girls go for the assholes your just looking at the wrong kind of girls. All the girls i know have really nice sweet boyfriends so its just the type of guy the girl is into and if they go into the relationship knowing that there gonna get hurt then there kinda asking for it in a way and i dont think that they really deserve pitty.

They want the drama of an "alpha male," but want a sensitive and caring guy to take care of his spawn. You'll see this time and again. By the time she's made enough mistakes, matured, and wants someone decent, Mr. Nice Guy can turn the tables and blow her and her baggage off for a change. =)

b/c women like the initial attention a**h**es give them. they want the sexual and so on excitement. but after the guy has it, the girl doesnt realize she's to blame for going after him in the first place.
if women and men can be in a relaionship where sex is not a main concept, then its most likely they REALLy like each other.
most women have just as many ugres as men for sex and will go for the a**h**es if necessary.

i wonder the same thing. I went out with a girl for a long time then one day she wanted to break up, then what do you know... she is hanging out with all the bad guys. "Girl all the bad guys want" and she wants them too. We never win in the end. it is a sad situation.

i admit that in that area, we women are dumb and often choose the wrong man, thats why the world is twisted.
i just wish that women would raise their standards and stop ending up with losers.its just that many men are losers.you cant help but be with one,when surely you have other options
its just this bad boy attitude, tough, that seems so attractive in men, its hard, and you cant judge us for that , you cant choose whom you'll love

women have the tendecy to like who dosen't give a f* about them... thats all... it's just the way it is... but there is hope, there are a few out there not like that,, probably 90 % all married and 8 % commited... so go figures....
