I need help interpreting a dream?

Question

Lastnight I had a dream that I was standing in a field with my mother.. when all of a sudden a big blast went up into the air and came crashing back down to earth. A big explosion went off. A shockwave (which I could see) was sent thumping through my body. I knew at that moment I had died and suddenly woke up from my dream gasping for air. Im hoping someone might be able to tell me what this means.. if anything at all. Thanks :)

Thankyou all for helping me.. I think I know what the dream meant now. I am going through a very big transition in my life. I have recently embraced my spiritual side again and have had some unusual visions of events that have occurred. So having this dream did scare me a little, but thankyou all for bringing me back down to earth. xxx

It sounds to me like you're going through ( or soon will be) some personal growth, where you've reached the end of your tether and things have GOT to change. Things will become more peaceful and abundant for you once the change is finished. You either feel the need to separate yourself from your mother, or you respect her enough to want to take on some of her characteristics. Depending on your relationship with your mother, you will either break away and find your own peace, or you will start to become more like her in order to be peaceful and to live the life you want.
You also need to nurture yourself right now - and be gentle with yourself.

Explosion:
Means that your repressed emotions and rage have come to the surface in a forceful and violent manner.

I'm usually pretty good at interpreting dreams, but I'm not sure about this.
Sounds like you were witnessing some type of bomb going off. Could be physical, could also be spiritual. Since your mother was with you, it could signal some kind of "blowup" in your family.
Or, it might have just been a bad dream.
If it does mean anything at all, it is a warning about an explosion. Most likely not a real physical one.

Kyo spoke in agreement with me, so I'm pretty sure that is the answer. Something in your family is about to explode, and the effects of it will hurt you.
I once had a dream about a tornado tearing up my grandmother's property. Six weeks later, she died kind of suddenly, and my family ended up fighting over that land.
You need to pray for God to give you strength and wisdom.

With all honesty, few dreams actually mean anything other than this: you are human. That's all you can really take away from a dream, or at least 99.9999%. The other 0.0001% (making up these numbers:P) are visions given by God. I highly doubt this is a vision, though, because if it were, you would know it.

EDIT: Sorry to be so frank, but it's the truth. I think of dreams as defrag for the brain (all you oldschool Windows remember defrag with the colored boxes, right? that's pretty much what dreams are like:P)

I agree about death meaning transition to new phase in life, but I think you need to question yourself about your relationship with your mother and what happened to her in yoru dream. Perhaps you are moving on from being so close to your mother? Becoming a woman of your own? (especially because of the blast when thru your body)

You woke up scared? Do you have anxiety about such possibly transitions?

this is an amazing dream, it signifies that your your life is almost sheer thin. your mother is grateful to you for all the hurt you have carried through your life and is amazed at your survivial. long days of rain may be ahead but dont get too cold- it could mean loosing fortune
