Well i wanna darken my windows and curtains arent really working is there anything else that can stop light from coming in?Is there anythig besides tint?

This will sound really tacky, but I put aluminum foil inside my bedroom windows and NO light can get in....then of course my drapes as usual...make sure you use freezer tape as any cold then will not affect the tape's staying power!! it works!!

Have you tried pull down shades? Some of them are made specifically for room darkening. They have a much better selection these days then the old white vinyl ones. Curtains can work if they are lined. You may need to look for curtains labeled "room darkening." Another thing is to layer. Use window shades or another layer of curtains under the curtains you have. You may need to get a new rod that can handle two sets.

Solar screens installed on the outside can block as much light as you wish, requiring no changes to your interior decor and are fairly inexpensive (cheaper than tinting).

If you are handy, you can buy the materials at home improvement centers.
