I am running Windows XP on a Dell computer. I have anti-virus, anti-spyware and a registry cleaner, but have not been able to get this WinAntiVirusPro2006 cleaned out of my system and it just keeps getting slower and slower.

WinAntiVirusPro2006 is itself a virus that hijacks your system. The information I am finding about it indicates that drastic measures are necessary. The easiest thing for you to do might be to just try a system restore. This will reset your computer's operating system to "the way it was" before your goofy husband made his mistake. System Restore can be launched from your computer's Help and Support files, which are located directly under the Start button.

System Restore will not delete files you have created, and can be reversed. It is a pretty painless process - especially when compared with going through the trouble of running the HijackThis utility, which is the "other' method.

Good luck.

Look for an uninstall shortcut near the WinAntiVirusPro2006 on your start menu. If you can't find one, then go to control panel and open add/remove programs. You'll have to wait for the list, but it should show up on the list, click on it and remove. To complete it , you may have to re start your computer. Good Luck! =)
