I am referring to Pizza Patron. Just one company does it and people are even sending them death threats, calling them unpatriotic. Come on... the dollar is accepted all over the world, even in mexico.
People just have nothing else to blame and don't want to see the truth...YOUR GOVERNMENT IS SCREWING YOU BIG TIME!! ITS AS IF YOU HAVE TURNED A BLIND EYE TO GETTING A SHARP POINTY KNIFE INSIDE OF YOUR ANUS!!! thats how batting the screwing is. pardon my french.

Any person sending a death threat to a company for making a financially sound decision to offer something to attract potential customers to their pizza chain vs another pizza chain is a mental midget in my opinion.**** Newsflash people**** Only visitors from Mexico carry pesos. Illegal immigrants do not. DOH!

Because people are idiots. They are too ignorant to realize:
1) Companies/businesses all over the world, including Mexico, accept dollars and other currencies, especially if the currency is from neighboring countries.
2) You don't have to be Mexican to have Mexican money. You could be a gringo that just came back from a trip to Mexico and have money left over you'd like to use rather than keeping it indefinitely in a sock drawer.
3) Not all Mexicans that come into the US are illegal immigrants. Mexican tourists exist. There are many wealthy Mexicans, in fact. Some of them drive across the border in their SUVs to spend a whole lot of money at malls and such. It is a service to these people who may only be in the US for a day or two to take their pesos for pizza. If you were crossing the border for only a day or so, you may not bother changing your money and would appreciate a pizza place taking your greenbacks when it was time to stop for lunch.
4) If someone is in this country to work illegally, they are getting paid in DOLLARS not pesos. Moreover, these people are from among the lowest rungs of Mexican society, thus its unlikely they came across the border with wads of pesos and are just itching to spend them on pizza.

I agree that your point is valid. US $ can be used world wide. I know this firsthand because I was recently in other countries like Dubai UAE and the UK. I believe that it is logical that the mexican currency would be used because it is our bordering country and has a lot of Mexican influence whether or not people like that. I think the reason behind the hatred is probably reflected from all the turmoil of illegal migrants. The media mobilizes people to react a certain way and they basically want for the illegal mexicans to think that all American citizens hate them and don;t want them here. But the truth is that regardless of background, race, ethnicity, citizens can no longer afford to pay for people who are not motivated to follow our laws. I mean no offense to you. My husband is an immigrant from the middle east and he worked very hard to get here. We pay taxes, and he even serves in the US military and will be granted citizenship in a few months. He earned it and suffered for it, so why should we pay for someone else' free ride?

My first reaction was against it, but if you think about it, it is the american way, They are trading..........trading something of value for something of value. Its bartering.....I traded a cd to a friend of mine for a cd of his.....should I have demanded cash? Good, old American dollars?......I don't think so......Let them trade, it doesn't hurt anything...
