It's your hormones. You are the perfect age for hormonal acne to kick in. The best way to control it is to control the bacteria that causes acne. Creams with benzoyl peroxide work the absolute best. Try proactive or acnefree which you can get at wal-mart and works just as well as proactive but is very affordable.
Don't worry too much about what you eat. Acne is not generally caused by what you do or don't eat - it is caused by your hormones. Because of your age you are just going to have to control it topically until your hormones balance out.

There's been no conclusive evidence that acne is related to diet, but all the same, I think cutting back on McDonalds would be a good thing anyway. Keep up that water intake! That's a great habit to be into.
Hormones are usually the cause of acne. Although sometimes makeup and sweat can cause them too.
What I suggest is making sure you get into a twice-a-day skincare routine with products that are good for your skin. I suggest skincare containing BHA (Salacylic acid) as this will help clean out pores. Neutrogena is an excellent brand to start with. A scrub 2-3 times a week is important to clear the excess skin cells/sebum that causes acne. Do use a moisturiser (you don't want to dehydrate your skin as this can aggravate acne!) but make sure it's light and not too greasy.
Make sure you cleanse your skin after playing sport - even if it's just a splash of water.
If you do not see results with skincare after a few months, then I suggest you see a Dr or a Dermatologist and they will assist you further. Good luck!

Alrigtht, let me honestly tell you most of the people on here don't know what their talking about! Diet has NO effect on your skin, NONE, it has never been scientificially proven. so dont let those uneducated people scare you. you're going through that age where acne is prominent. Your body is at the stage where it will produce more oil, causing you to break out. If you really want them to go away, consult a doctor. He will give you many oppurtunities to help you kick the break outs! As far as basketball leading to break outs...i HIGHLY doubt it. Sweat, etc would cause break outs maybe if you never washed your face, but you say you do, so that shoulnd't be the cause. some forms of make up will clog your pores. Another thing to try is not just washing your face but also use a oil free moisturizer. good luck.

Your hormones are doing a number on you. Welcome to womanhood! Continual breakouts are generally the effect of a bacterial infection that is un-treated. Tea Tree Oil is a great product. Get the pure stuff in the little bottle. The Body Shop sells one for 7 bucks that I use. You need to cleanse with an anti-bacterial cleanser, you need to tone to remove residual dirt, oil and makeup and you need to moisturize with a GEL (not a cream) even if you think you don't. Wash you face twice a day. Exfoliate once or twice a week. Keep your hands off of your face--no touching, no popping. After you play sports cleanse your face immediately. This should help.

Even though you only eat out at Mc donald's twice a week, that can still be causing the breakouts. The sweat from playing basketball could be playing a roll too. It might just be your hormones too. Good job drinking a lot of water, though

im in my teen age too.. so having an age about same as you might help..
mc donalds is part of it.. eating mc donalds 2x a week could cause u future problems later on.. i suggest reduce it.. its good u drink water alot. but it's not only water that will keep u from breakin out.. you need veggies, fruits.. and cut your coffee/caffeine intake if you do drink coffee.. other things could be.. maybe ur face is oily.. and u do nothing to your skin to get rid of your skin..
try using a cleanser with Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide.. next use oil-free moisturizer with SPF! (sun protection will prevent blemish worsen) then.. use acne medication too.. also, you may use a mattifying gel to prevent oil glands overproducing..
tip* carry oil blot papers (Clean & Clear one are good) wherever you go.. and blot those oil everytime you feel its oily..
if you need to cover up, use Clinique anti blemish solution concealer.. they have medication in it.. so they heal and conceal too..

you might be breaking out because of what mcdonald food that you eat. water is good, but watching what you eat helps. stay away from oily foods. no chocolate or nuts. anything that makes you break out. cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, etc. try salad or the fruit parfaits, no nuts. put your hair up and don't touch your face with your hands, clean or dirty, no touch the face. use sunblock, neutragena spf 15 when you go out. wash your face with neutragena acne wash. use benzoil peroxide to apply on your break outs. if you have oil on your face use tissue to wipe them off. don't wear make up to cover them up, might cause irritation. and if your in your teens, then its hormones acting up.

Hi Pisces!!!
Is good you drink a lot of water, but that is Not enough!!!
You need to eat a lot of fiber, like broccoli and greens, to regulate your digestive system. Fruits and vegetables, and 1% milk, or soy milk is good.
Avoid soda, and watch your diet, but most of of pay attention to your digestive system and regulate it by eating a lot of fiber. Once you clean your digestive system, naturally you will notice a much better complexion.
GOOD LUCK, GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIFE
