My daughter will be turning 1 on Feb. 20th and I'm so excited. I just bought her a ride-on toy, but that only cost about $35 and we wanted to get her some other things that weren't toys. She LOVES blankets, but doesn't have one that is very large or soft or girly. I want to get her a nice one, but don't want to spend more than $25-30. I want one that is toddler-sized that she will be able to take to bed with her when she's older. Of course nothing that would be so warm that she could only use it in the winter. I was looking for a nice knit blanket but I can't find any good ones. Can you help me please?! :)

Honey i go to wal*mart for everything and the best idea would be to get one with a familiar favorite character. I know my children like Dora - my daughter has a real soft velvety Dora blanket from Walmart. They also like Backyardigans, Princess, Spongebob, Cars, Sesame street and CAREBEARS which is especially cute for this age. Oh by the way, she's only 1. I dont think she'll be too picky.

you may not like this idea, but i suggest looking in thrift stores, you can get a 1000 dollar blanket for that price, 2nd suggestion, pier 1 has these great blankets with a matching pillows, we bought them for us but my 2,11,14 and 16 year old has stole them we call them soft soft blankets and they are so nice, they look great on sofa, my 2 year old will not sleep without it i think they cost around 40.00 i realize this is a little more then you wanted to spend but it will last a lifetime

You can find Fleece fabric at Wal-mart as well as instructions on how to make no-sew blankets. I have made my kids them and they love them. Use them all year round. They don't take long to make and they have loads of patterns and designs. Congrats on the 1yr old.

I suggest getting some baby soft fine yarn and either making her one or finding someone that knows how to knit or crochet and ask them to make her one that will be more personal and just for her.
