Yes. Tiny amount of Curry. It is a diff way to spice things up without killing the taste. Most people NEVER know what it is about my chili but proclaim they love it........ Even when they find out it has Curry in it and they say they hate curry....

You can also make it a savory sweet BBQ chili by using a savory BBQ sauce with components of pineapple, cyanne peppeter, tomoatoe paste, liquid smoke...etc.....Sorry. I can't keep going or I will have given away my Godfather's secret recipe and my famly would kill me for doing that.

Good Luck to you!

My Mom owns her own catering business so I know A LOT about cooking............

Use a variety of meats, like a combo of beef, lamb, and pork. Know your butcher and ask for the best, the most lean.
Use only the finest in spices, like chili powder, cumin, oregano, and black pepper. Use kosher salt. Lots of yellow onion, cooked over low heat until sweet and tender.
Add crushed tortilla chips for thickener.

Try my secret ingredient in whichever recipe you use.
Horseradish. I use homade horseradish which is pure and uncut. Most store bought horseradish is cut with turnips to reduce the strength.
You can use 1/4 cup per quart. It will give a different taste and a little kick that no one will be able to identify.
