Is it ok to take shortcuts on punctuation aslong as u use appropriate grammer?

And does it annoy ppl when abrev. is used? 4 example, ppl, lol, lmfao, etc
I think sometimes it is acceptable in txt msg's n stuff. But what about this website?

Just my opinion...

Using text-speak on sites like this make you look less educated, more follow-the-crowd.

Every generation has its cool, new way of speaking. This is just the latest form of pig latin, 1ee7 speak, valley talk, etc.

If you want to be clearly understood, punctuation and spelling is important. Just remember that punctuation exists to make things clearer! You don't get points for the number of extra commas in a sentence. *grin*

well using no punctuation sometimes annoy me, because i have to read the whole sentence many times in order to know that what is the message.

cut the word short not goes with every one. because if u using internet language with ur grand father, he might not understand (usually) but may b ur classfellow can, who is on the same wave length.

in short, u have to know your audience.
think before u leap :)

I don't know why someone would like to use that way of writing. If you are in a hurry, stop wasting your time here. If you have hours to waste, show you went to school AND learned something: use proper English always.
