Instead of using a light bulb, it uses 3 bright LEDs
No need to change light bulb for the lofe of the TV
No need for a color wheel
Instant on/off - no need to wait for the bulb to cool down or warm up

But, more expensive. You can probably buy a good plasma at a lower price these days!

Samsung sells junk TVs, even though they look cutting edge they are not built to last.

As a technician I wouldnt reconmend.

Try a Mitsubishi Laser DLP. Better picture than the LEDs.

The above poster is dead on. If you want an DLP, I would go with the LED equipped set.
