Yes and no. The display panels found in some Samsung and Sony LCD TVs are manufactured by S-LCD Co., a joint venture between Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd (50% plus 1 share) and Sony Corporation (50% minus 1 share) established in April 2004 in Chungcheongnam-do, Korea. This doesn't mean that the entire sets are the same or manufactured together.

Nope, not true....Samsung and Sony are separate companies with specific integrated circuitry, neither build the same circuits....

However Samsung does build Plasma chassis for other companies....we find Samsung boards and plasma displays in other name brand TV sets....Akai is known for Samsung circuits in their Projection CRT units.

Sony keeps their circuits for Sony only.....
