I am finishing up a bachelor of science degree in natural resources with a specialty in fish and wildlife conservation through Oregon State University's distance program. It is accredited and is one of the top in the nation (for that field). I have been thrilled with both the instructors and the program. The courses are a combination of online and instructional video. Some courses require proctors for tests and you better be prepared to write a lot of papers and to use your analytical thinking skills.

They also offer an environmental science degree if you are interested.

I would recommend that you get your basics at a local community college first to save yourself some money down the road. Right now tuition is running close to $200.00 per credit hour and the school runs on the quarter system which means you need to be on the ball and highly organized. Take all your chemistry's, physics (for environmental science), statistics, calculus, all the biology courses they offer and economics before transferring over to OSU (If that's the route you decide to take).

good luck!

before you enroll in any school, you want to make sure that it is regionally credited (call the local community college and ask them about their accreditation and they should be able to tell you what agency gives them that accrediation) go to the website for that agency and check the list or give them a call.
I do not believe that their are any only schools regionally credited. most of them are credited by various online agency, which are non-affilliated.
it is likely that their is a school somewhere in your state that offers online or distance education. you just have to find it.
