The clips are nice. The big ones that hold all your hair. Or try parting your hair diffrent and put it up with the part. It will feel like a whole new pony! I like to straighten my hair. A real iron is quick. Prob not great for your hair but turn it on low and you can iron fast. ( I have thick hair so its the only way) Use a mirror to see. Be careful.

Try a new part, if you normally part it in the middle, go to the side. You'll be surprised what a difference this makes.
You're sixteen and there are lots of fun things to do with your hair but it seems like you've covered most of the do's that people your age like.
OR get bangs! Side bangs are really cute or straight across bangs are very stylish right now. You're young so have fun with your hair! Don't be afraid to experiment with style and color (just don't go too crazy).
Changing it every once in a while will keep you from getting bored with your hair. Have fun!

I have bangs so I just do a side part and then I use a bobby pin(only its not black its sparkly and stuff) and i pin my hair to the side. Then I make a half pony in the back with a clear elastic band(it looks just like a normal one only its smaller and its plastic, not rubber you can find them at the dollar stores ) and then make a bun by looping the hair. There should be lef over hair and that hair should be spread around the bun. Spray it with hair spray and you are done TADA

i don't kno whats wrong with you people waves are in, straight hair is just boring. look or don't have to always use a curling iron to get waves, here are some waves, the one with a * means it works really well ok,:

1. ***get a spray bottle, (get at walmart or a beuty shop 4 like $5) put 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt in it and add cool or cold water. spray on hair when it is fairly damp.

2. *french braid it

3. **when ur hair is damp, twirl different parts of ur hair while using a hairdryer on LOW setting.

4. use a diffuser ( only if you already have wavy hair, it enhances it)

Tiny braids.

crimped hair.

dread locks.

flattened/straightened

My hair is naturally curly, so what I do in the mornings is take curling gel [for me, Paul Mitchell, it's more expensive but works] and i like rub it in my hands and scrunch it into my hair. This works for girls with straight and wavy hair as well [or I've heard it does, anyway.]

Goodluck!

What about setting it with rollers? It'll have a lot of body, you'll have a totally different glammed out look and when you get tired of it after a few days, you can pull it or pin it up into another style without it being the boring, flat ponytail you are used to.

to build off the pony tail: twist, roll into a bun

OR

(still starts with a pony tail) fold in half and put a holder around it, then spread out the sticking out extra hair.

hmmm, we are both in the same situation, i thought i was the only one lol though I just totally suck at doing my own hair, so I'm definatly checkin this question later.... umm anyways you could try just putting your bangs back with a tiny clip :s I dunno how to really explain it. you could straighten you hair which is what i am doing lately, but a good straightner is like 100 and up and its basically as time consuming and hard as curling your hair, but you get it with practise. or you could try to scrunch it, I plan on attempting sooner or later but it sounds a lil complicated, heres a link :

other then that my mind is blank but good luck!

scrunch your hair when its wet or damp with some hair gel(no too much or itll be stiff and wirey) blow dry while scrunching then set it with a light all over spritz of hair spray and tada! you have cute, playful waves you can wear down or up in a clip, lookks great and only took 5 min.'s - hair tip, blow dry with hair flipped over while bending over a little, gives extra volume and bounce!

my hair is straight but sometimes when it is wet i put gel in it to try to scrunch it to make it curly thats easy...its hard for me only cause my hair is straight so i have to keep scrunching it till it dries so i can have some curly hair for a day....no curling necessary
