Hmmm, she's obviously still an infant in her mind, I would suggest you stop infantilising her, (if you are), so stop cleaning up after her (if you are), stop handfeeding her, etc, so it learns to grow up. All domestic cats are infantilised to some degree, but they do know they have to clean up after themselves.

I had a ginger boy that loved to suck on anything i had around the house that was satin. My night wear was often the target!! I would pick it up of the floor and it would be soaked. The worse was when he tried to do it with the outfit on you!!
He was also young and i got him from a shelter as well. At first it was really cute but then it stared getting annoying and i had to hide all my satin stuff.
Unfortunately i am not sure when he would have stopped as he was killed by a dog when he was 15 months and up until that he still did it but not as much, so i think he would have grown out of it sooner or later.
With the poo thing, What a lazy kitty!!! i would just get the paw once he has finished and show him how to do it, also he may do it more when he is older as the reason why cats cover there poo is so predators or other cats cannot find them.
He'll get the hang of it.

Its not bad or anything, unless u really don't like looking at poo. Just about all kittens do that untill they get the habit of 'scratching' at the litter. If u have other cats around that scratch the litter, ur kitten should start doing it soon, since it'll mock the other cat's actions. Also u can teach him if you put him in the litter box, take his paw and make slow soft and gentle scraps at the litter. He'll get the hang of it.

Some cats just don't bury their poo. Be thankful that she uses the litterbox.
Let her suckle if possible. It comforts her and she will eventually grow out of it. When my cat was young he slept in bed with me and would lay on my neck and suckle into my hair. When he was about 7 months he finally realized he was just too big to lay like that anymore. I was sure glad because it was getting very hard to breath....LOL
Take care, and enjoy the kitten

Just tell her that if she doesn't cover her poo, she can't play with the hamster anymore.
No really. If we can't even train some people to put the seat down, how will we ever train a cat?

Of course. It is learned from their mother, it's not genetic.
The next time she goes poo, use your hand to cover it up. Make sure that you don't do it the way we would. Instead, pretend you're her mother. She will get the hint, and start doing it herself. Remember, you are her mother now. When you got her, she was still very young and has probably bonded with you.

My cat is 2 years old and she will not cover after using the litter box. In fact she doesn't even like the box. Like she doesn't like the feel of the litter. She doesn't cover outside either. All the other cats cover. I have even tried that pine litter stuff. Still no success. I guess some cats are just like that.

I have considered this with my cats at the same time as they were kittens growing up. that is humorous to demonstrate screen them scrape the floor around the clutter tray. regardless of the indisputable fact that that is weird and wonderful and that i don't understand why. besides, I have now solved the issue via education them to do the poo poo contained in the subsequent door neighbours backyard :)

She should have stayed with her mother until 6 weeks. You will have to show her how to cover her poo and show her more than once. Hopefully she will eventually get the idea.

I had a 4 years old Maine Coon who never covered up his dump. He was trying though, scratching also the floor or the tray but always missed and made mess all over. The good thing is I had another cat that actually cover it up for him before she takes dump herself, maybe that's why he never learned...
