"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14 (New International Version)

A very good question.
Its not that you do not have 'wild imagination'.
Its the question of 'Which God are you talking of ?'
The God as portrayed by religions ? or 'God as independent of religions ?
Religions more than leading you, tend to mislead you for their own selfish ends and so are not worth any attention !!
Want to find out if there is really something that you can call God ?
Nameless ! Formless !! One said to have "No beginning and no end". The final judgment would be yours and yours only.

Seems to me it requires more imagination to think beyond "God did it," or "only God knows."
