As an environmental science teacher, I really like it. It requires the reader to take one step past what the title actually says. Use it!

Wind turbine farms are springing up all over the country.
It is one of the cheapest forms of alternative energy.
I foresee this new energy source to grow fast. We have
many turbine farms here in Cal. The only problem is keeping
the birds out of the turbines, but I think that problem is solved
now also.
whenever one of you science geniuses can work this out,
How about the energy in waves? on both coasts and all
large lakes? This is one source that never fails.

All good ideas fall to pieces when it comes up against NIMBY: Not In My Backyard. The liberals are all about quit the oil war and use alternative fuels, and then someone put some wind turbines off the coast from their hoity-toity homes and they went nuts. The racket was more than they were willing to bear, tho it wasn't that much. "Oh, you misunderstood. We want YOU to use alternative fuels." Right now, the low desert pass near Morongo, CA is a good place for them because very few people live there. I'd have one on top of my house, tho, if I could. (Of course, I'm partly deaf.)

The costs of building wind turbines on an industrial scale is not economic. There are very few places on earth with sustained high winds that would make sustainable energy generation from windpower.

I like the title.

I work for a power company that has about 2,000 mw of wind in it's portfolio. When the wind is blowing, we make 3 times the energy from wind than we do from Nat Gas.

Germany has like 20,000 mw of wind installed. Thats like 20 good size nuclear or coal plants.
