Reply to the complaint by citing that you were the one who was hit and move for the dismissal of the case against you. Answer the accussation so that you will not be declared in default and face the consequence of being declared as quilty.

You should definitely respond in some manner. If you fail to respond, it has been my experience that the police report will go through to the DA with only one side (hers) and the DA may file charges against you based on that. Obviously the police have successfully identified you as the second involved party (or they wouldn't have contacted you!).

If you intend to go back to PA at some point, you may be surprised by having the cops show up at your house with a warrant for your arrest. Giving a statement may cause this whole mess to just go away.

I'm 50-50 on getting a lawyer on this one. Its not like this is a murder case! A lawyer may tell you "Say Nothing!" and this could lead to an arrest warrant! If you did nothing wrong, I say give the police a call and give your statement and let the chips fall where they may!

You are not required to go back to PA. If they file charges and issue a warrant and are will to pay the expenses involved in extraditing you for what sounds like simple battery, then you might have a problem.
You should be able to answer their questions over the phone, but I would have my lawyer with me on the other line.

I'd check with a lawyer or go to the local police department and seek advice from them before going on my own. Could be you can give them a statement they can pass on unless she is filing for assault charges against you

Go back to P.A., but take an attorney with you.
Do not give a statement. Do not believe them when they say all they want to do is clear things up. And most importantly, do not speak without an attorney present.

you have to go to PA and give them your statement. You can see if they will let you give it to them via telephone, but if not you have to go back. Things happen sometimes. Did you hit her?

go back and file criminal charges of battery and assault, and then file a lawsuit... make sure you've got a nice bruise to corroborate your story also. haha jk*wink*
let the ***** know your serious about countering your complaint and she'll probably drop it.
