You have back pain due to two different causes. The lower back pain, especially with the white blood cells present in the urine, are caused by a kidney or urinary tract infection. The other pains would be due to the initial injury, compounded in the legs and rear because you have changed how you walk and sit due to pain. Your period would cause red blood cells to be present in the urine, but only if the test were done while you were having a menstrual flow and not wearing a tampon. White blood cells are only present in urine due to infection somewhere in the urinary tract. I assume she has given you an antibiotic for the infection. If you drink lots of liquids, including a cranberry juice mix, you should see an improvement in the low back pain in about 3 days. Once the low back pain from the infection is taken care of, you should notice less back pain overall, and be able to determine what is due to the back injury. To alleviate the pain in the legs and rear, take care how you walk and sit. Wear low heel shoes, and try a hot soak in the tub. Heat will also help the kidney pain, until the medicine can eliminate the infection. You were just really unlucky, from sounds of things.

Kidney and bladder infections cause back, hip, knee, and chest pains depending on the person so your doc is probably right, your infection is causing the pain!
