I'm in college, just your typical average joe. I got out of a very serious relationship over a year ago and have since become more involved with my studies.

Anyway, in my government class, some girl sits next to me. I've engaged in random small talk with her (like I do with people in all my classes), and today I found a friend invite from her on facebook AND myspace.

Now here's the thing, I never told her my name.
The only way she could know it is if she looked over my shoulder when I signed it on a test or something.

Plus, I noticed she followed me (at a distance) to my next class, and was conveniently in the hallway when that class let out.

I'm not interested, but I want to let her down easy, without living the movie 'Fatal Attraction'

I mean seriously, I don't even know her...

Eh, I may sound like a creep, but name a single person who enjoys being stalked.

Problem solved.

ok well heres a simple answer for your simple question. Tell her that your not looking for nething or ne1 at the moment due to a serious relationship. But dont burn ne bridges bcuz she might turn out to be someone u want in the future. So Thiz wold most likely be better than telling her your married, gay, or terminaly ill lol. Honesty iz alwayz the best policy, so even if a relationship iznt the answer, then tell her why, but in a nice polite way. Encourage friendship but not a relationship.

Umm just if she talks to you, only answer back like with "yes" or "no" and act busy and distracted. Pretend like you are studying so you don't have to talk to her. You don't want to be a rude asshole, but I understand you don't want to mislead her either. She should get the hint. Also, just ignore her friend requests on myspace and stuff. When you see her in the hallway, don't make eye contact. Just distance yourself in this way.

You might be making too much out of this though, maybe she just thinks you are friends. I've invited people on myspace that I didn't know that well, and I definitely wasn't stalking them. And maybe she just happened to be walking that way and wasn't following you.

Well try gettin one of your chick friends to hang out with you when she is around once or twice or atleast just tell her you are seeing someone. And if you cant do it face to face then add her on myspace and just send her a message if she gets more into you like asking you to do stuff together. Dont worry, unless your breaking up with someoe you have been with for a while there is no rule that you have to do it face to face. Good luck!

I would just bring it up casually in a conversation with her. Let her know that you're not looking to get involved with anyone right now, so that she knows there isn't a chance of dating you. As for the friend requests, I don't think it would hurt to accept them. Don't be a jerk, just be clear.

Just start talking about your "girlfriend" in detail to her in the next class. Ask for her advice on what to get her for her birthday.

find a female friend to share this with then have her hang out with you and act like your GF, the girl in puppy love should eventually go away

lol!! that reminds me of this girl who thinks that anyone who talks to her is her best friend. start ignoring her, she'll get annoyed and go away. if not, then tick her off, like reverse phsycology.
